DEVELOPING SUPPORT GROUPS FOR ALL

What is a support group?

A support group is made up of people who have similar personal experiences. The members give and receive support, helping each other to improved wellbeing. The groups provide opportunities for recovery from a variety of problems and challenges, offering a sense of identity for participants.

What can a support group do for you?

There are all sorts of support groups. In a support group you can talk about your hopes, your aspirations and your apprehensions, or just yourself! and gain solutions to your problems. It can bring you in tune with others and give you hope.

Wirral Mind offers help with........

Development - Helping groups grow
Involvement - Getting people together
Setting up - Starting groups
Encouragement - Positive enthusiasm
On-going support - Practical help
