PROMOTING SELF ESTEEM

A Workshop presented by Kurt Hampel

Self esteem is at the heart of the value we put on ourselves. This, in turn, determines how we act and react within our environment, with family, friends, in the workplace etc.

During our childhood, our self - worth depends largely on how others behave towards us. Some of the messages we receive, we carry on believing right into adulthood. Yet a number of these messages were negative, affecting our self-esteem, so that we lose sight of the wonderful being we were meant to be.

This workshop will explore ways in which we can challenge some of the old ideas and put in place more positive strategies to enhance our self - esteem. In this way, we can also promote the self - worth of others around us.
PLEASE NOTE THIS COURSE WILL BE PARTICIPATORY.

Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
A Two Day Course

Presented by Sara Hatta & Simon Jennings

Life is full of ups and downs. We all share experiences of losses, bereavements, stresses in or out of work, relationships that are difficult. People who experience emotional distresses are often keen to find safe, effective things that they can do for themselves to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. One way that people find useful is a Wellness Recovery Action Plan.

This is an opportunity to develop your own Wellness Recovery Action Plan, so it is a practical workshop, not all teaching, more of having a go and seeing if it works for you.

WRAPS don’t make a distinction between experts by experience (service users), carers, and paid staff. WRAP is a useful and positive approach to wellness for everyone.

You need to bring a Ring Binder and set of File Dividers to make your WRAP.

Developing Deeper Listening Skills

A Workshop presented by Sara Hatta

Being listened to by another and communicating how we really feel can have a powerful effect on us as human beings. Actively listening to another person can play a major part in helping that person recover from their distress.

Listening is not always easy. It is more than words that we need to hear in order to clarify messages and understand others.

This workshop will give you practical skills to develop your listening skills. It will benefit anyone who wants to improve their own relationships or provide support for people who are suffering from some sort of distress. Date & Time
